When to Pivot vs. Pull the Plug – The Truth About Quitting
Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever Lance Armstrong It’s always too early to quit. Norman Vincent Peale If you quit once, it becomes a habit.
If the cabana boy could just bring you a margarita, poolside, you would be set. An idyllic moment for you would be the sun licking the back of your calves as the rush of the waves lolls you to sleep. If this resonates with you, you are most likely aligned with The Escape Artist. And truth be told, you have a little bit of Travelista in you too. You have mastered the art of striking a work/life balance and you live by the mantra…”All work and no play makes Jane a dull girl.”
For you, it doesn’t really much matter where you go, just that you can relax, ideally somewhere by the water. Escape Artists tend to be more introverted but they still prefer to travel with someone special instead of going it alone. You enjoy being pampered. Holidays are meant to be savoured. You even find yourself a little bit irritated by the knock on the door offering room service which interrupts your morning.
A perfect travel book recommendation for you would be “Love With a Chance of Drowning” by travel blogger Torre De Roche. It’s the perfect romantic travel escape that doesn’t activate your brain neurons unnecessarily. After all, you don’t need to come back from your vacations having changed the world. It’s not that you don’t believe in worthy causes, you do. They just don’t need to be married to your time away from it all.
The Escape Artist might consider either the Travelista or the Soul Searcher as their ultimate travel buddy.
Hi there,
I’m Diane Molzan, founder of the Digital Travel Academy
I’m a traveller just like you. My travel style is Allocentric but truthfully, I’m probably a mix of all of the travel styles – depending on the moon, the tides and whatever hormonal shifts are going on with me at the moment.
I started the Digital Travel Academy to show other travellers how they can build a career out of doing what they love most – travelling. I’ll be sharing all my insider tricks and tips. And if I come across a great industry deal, I’ll give you the scoop on that too.
So be sure to stay subscribed.
In the meantime, I am building a course that offers a step-by-step guide that will show you how to start your own travel business and make good money at it. More details on that to follow but for now, let’s keep in touch.
You can drop me a line any time at diane@digitialtravelacademy.com. I love connecting with fellow travellers.
Until next time, safe travels!
Diane
